Well, I’m officially toothless now – as far as my upper teeth are concerned at any rate. Let me tell ya, a mouth full of stitches is something else. This week’s been pretty damn miserable as I’m sure you can imagine. Thankfully, the oral surgery went well. It’s just that between the swelling and lingering pain from the abscess and all the other aches and pains I was already dealing with, my body decided to flare up because of the trauma. I had the surgery on Tuesday and I’m only now starting to feel somewhat human again… vaguely… at least enough to remember what feeling human is supposed to feel like.
Eating’s also an experience and a half and one I’m looking forward to never repeat. At least, not in the sense, I’m having to do it at the moment because honestly, it kind of sucks. I just have to keep reminding myself that it’s only temporary and I’ll be able to eat “normally” again soon. The whole thing isn’t helped at all by the medical mouthwash, either. Nothing tastes as it should and some of it is outright disgusting now (it’ll be a very long time before I’ll eat cottage cheese again, let’s leave it at that).
I’m also still on rest for my shoulder and hip, meaning I am slowly going crazy because of the lack of knitting that’s happening right now. I want to craft so badly. *sigh* Soon. I hope.
