Let’s Pretend

That it’s still Sunday. I spent most of the day running errands, not getting home until it was time for me to go to bed, so the day kind of got away from me in that respect.

I haven’t had any time to really sit down and craft this past week, either, unfortunately. Or even read all that much. What I have done is clean and cook. A lot. And organize and purge and finally getting things in an order I can live with. This morning I got to the happy realization that we’re finally at a point where we don’t have to buy things second hand anymore and have it be stuff that kinda-sorta works but not really and takes up more space than we’re happy with. Never mind it even looking like anything we’d like.

Nope, we’ve finally, aside from getting shelves in the kitchen cupboard (Pantry, yay! I’m still psyched about that one), gotten bookshelves to replace the ugly plastic shelving that currently serves to house my books. Granted, the bookshelf needs to be put together still, but we have it. We also got another set of shelving to replace a rickety, seriously falling apart and no longer useful one.

Once we’re done reorganizing things, the place will look a lot better and I for one can’t wait for that to happen. At some point, we need to give our closet a makeover as well, but that’ll have to wait awhile.

For now, I’m happy to finally see improvements happen. Now if only I could manage to get over myself and give artwork a shot since I have those blank canvases still. 😉

  1. Sunday! I wish it was Sunday. It’s a struggle but wonderful and worth the wait when we finally get there, all good things come to those who wait, making the end goals all that more enjoyable. There you go very physophical for a Sunday 😀
