So I’m still without my laptop, with no word as yet whether it can be fixed or not. I’m trying to be patient, really, I am. Hubby, in the meantime is kind enough to let me hijack his computer in order to post this (thanks, baby!).
Without my laptop, I’ve been relegated to the usual fallback: knitting. I managed to finish the pair of socks I found half-done last week. Yay! Finished socks! I have to admit, it felt really good to finally put these in the Finished Objects column, as well as making headway on my resolutions for this year.
So good, in fact that I turned right around and picked up another WIP socks and started working on those. These will obviously go even quicker than the green ones, as they are made with worsted weight. They’ll be nice lounging around the house socks for winter once they’re done.
Yes, I really only had that much done before I got distracted by life and let them languish. Kind of sad, isn’t it? Never fear, I fully intend on them being finished by this time next week.
Another thing I finished last week is the audio book Cleopatra’s Daughter, by Michelle Moran. This is the third book of hers I’ve read, and like the others I loved it. Michelle does an incredible job making Ancient Rome come to life (and Egypt, of course), and give insight into the lives of people then.
What crafty endeavors have you been up to this week?
Well done, socks are something I’ve never been able to manage. Fingers still crossed for laptop. Craft? Well haven’t stitched a stitch in about two weeks plan on some part his week. S

I’ve only managed plain socks so far. Will try something more exciting some time soon lol.
Thanks hon. I really hope it can be fixed and that it comes home soon.
I haven’t done any cross stitching, either. Need to do that soon.

Well done! I can’t knit to save myself buy I have a friend who knits socks and I know the trouble she goes to at times! I hope you get an answer on your laptop soon – how frustrating!

Aww, don’t give up trying 🙂 there are so many ways out there to learn. And yes, socks are tricky, but worth it.
Thank you, it’s definitely frustrating
