Wow, I can’t believe it’s been a year already since I started this blog. Do you remember my first post on January 31st, 2016? I’m ashamed to admit that I still haven’t finished those bears. And ah yes, I was ambitious in thinking that I’d post twice a week myself, as well as ending up with a guest post.
It’s Superbowl Sunday again, but it looks like I won’t be able to watch the game this time. At least, not all of it because it’s going to be too late in the day for me. Still, I’ll be rooting for the Falcons. Why? Mostly because it’s my friend Jennifer’s favorite team… and I dislike the Patriots.
Remember this shawl I was going to make? It was finished a few months ago, but I never got around to actually blocking it. Well, that’s done now. Isn’t it pretty? I love it. I promised Paardje I would show the difference it made with before and after pictures, so here goes:

Looking back, I haven’t done nearly as much reading as I had intended to do last year. I did meet the goal I’d set myself on Goodreads, but I’d aimed relatively low so that wasn’t hard to do. This year, I haven’t set one at all and to be honest I’m not even sure why. Actually, that’s not true. Part of it is that I just haven’t really been up for reading – at least not when it comes to books. I’ve been enjoying a stroll down memory lane, so to speak, and have revisited some old favorite fanfics of mine, but nothing beyond that. I haven’t done a hell of a lot of writing, either.
Crafting also wasn’t as prolific last year as I would have liked. Both the crafting and reading were heavily influenced by life around me, but then that’s the case for all of us, right? This year, I’m hoping it’ll go a little more smoothly, however. It would be nice to be able to share more with you guys after all.
Thanks for sticking with me. I’m enjoying myself hosting this blog and I hope you like it, too.
Happy Blogiversary!! Yes the two main things in life reading and craft/craft and reading, we never seem to be able to enough of either. S

right? Especially when we need it the most, too. Reading, writing, and crafting is how I unwind. They’re also the things that suffer the most when I’m stressed out. Go figure
