A Very Harry Potter Day

Happy birthday to my birthday twins, Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling! (yep, I totally love the fact I share my birthday with them). Today’s being spent knitting and watching a Harry Potter marathon. We’re currently nearing the end of The Chamber of Secrets. We shall see how far along we end up getting with the movies before I pass out.

Why do I say that? Because we’ll be attempting another switch up to our sleep schedule. Really hoping this time will be less troublesome than last time. But hey, Harry Potter to keep us company today, I can live with that 😉

My shawl is coming along nicely, as you can see. I haven’t hit the color change yet, or the lace part, but I’m getting closer.

Sewanee in progress

I think you can juuuuuust see the sparkle in this pic. It was the best I could do. I’m loving working with this yarn, by the way.

Today also marked the end of Rough Trade. I got the end of my second story in under the wire, thankfully. Two out of three ain’t bad, right? I’m sure I’ll get around to writing my third at some point. Funny thing is, last year I also managed two out of three, and both unwritten stories are in the same ‘verse. I’m choosing to not view that as a sign 😉

So, how are you spending this glorious Harry Potter day?
