So this week’s been largely great (few dips here and there, but such is life, right?). Hubby and I are both totally hooked on Pokémon Go! We’ve walked a whole bunch of miles (not entirely sure how many at this point, but somewhere in the range of 100 miles since we started. I do know that I’ve lost a size, so there’s that. *throws confetti* And it’s been beautiful out there. Check out the view from the park where we spent hours a few days ago.

One downer about the game is that it got hit by a DDOS attack yesterday, and they’ve also been experiencing a lot of errors and glitches (at least, today it’s been really bad). I’m hoping they’ll get everything fixed because it’s a great game and it’s getting people out and moving and becoming more social.

Someone on Facebook pointed out there were charity apps out there that count miles walked and stuff, and once a certain goal is reached they donate to your charity of choice (from a provided list, obviously). I’ve downloaded ResQwalk and have logged a few already. Tried another one but it wouldn’t download, so that was a bust. I do like the idea of it, though. You walk, they pay out to charity? What’s not to like? Anyone know of other good apps that actually work (unlike the two I couldn’t get to download)?
This week also brought a lovely gift from Krysten (remember, my guest from Friday before last?). She sent me this beauty from her shop and it’s even prettier in person. I can’t wait to work with this. It’ll be a shawl and it’ll be all mine! I just need to find the right pattern for it. Don’t worry, I’ll be sure to share the results with you 🙂

Thank you again, Krysten, mwah!
As you know, July is Rough Trade month and it’s been a challenge to work through my first story. I’m happy to say, however, that I hit complete on it yesterday and I’ve started work on story number two! We’ll see whether I manage to finish that as well as the third, but I’m going to give it my best shot 🙂
Speaking of which, I’d better get back to writing! No rest for the wicked, right?
Yay, you lost a size! 😀 Interested to see what beauty you’ll create with that yarn 🙂
