*sigh* Well, I managed to screw up my project somehow. Working on the legs on the left bear – or trying to at any rate – and apparently I’m off. Not entirely sure where I went wrong, so for the time being it’s in time-out until I’m not frustrated with it anymore, which kind of sucks because I was enjoying working on it.
Ah well, such things happen. I know I’m not alone in making mistakes, or putting projects in time-out for a while. Hopefully, I’ll manage to get back to it tomorrow or the next day, because I really would like to finish it. Not entirely sure what I’ll end up doing with it, but that’s a worry for another time.
While I’ve been working on it, I’ve finished listening to The Girl in the Blue Beret. It’s never easy to read about World War II and this was no exception. It wasn’t just a telling of that time, however, but also a study of sorts in memory, cause and effect, and growth. I enjoyed it a lot, in so much as one can ‘enjoy’ stories like that.
Right now, I’m listening to Nefertiti, by Michelle Moran. If you know your history at all, you know that it’s a story set in Egypt. So far, I’m loving it, but then I’ve always been fond of Egyptian history.
